The Aico Ei146E Optical Smoke Alarm is best for slow smouldering fires, such as, burning sofas or household appliances. This device uses a large capacity, proven optical sensor chamber that features built-in mesh screen for reduced insect and dust contamination
 
Installation is made fast and easy thanks to the easi-fit base (supplied), combined with simple detector head removal and replacement. The Ei146E Optical Smoke Alarm may operate as a standalone alarm or may be interconnected to other alarms via a wired or wireless system and when interconnected all alarms in the system will sound if a fire is detected.

The alarm is fitted with a Test/ Hush button to facilitate frequent testing of the alarm and system and The silence function allows the alarm/ system to be  silenced in the case of a false or nuisance alarm, e.g. cooking fumes. The Ei146E Optical Smoke Alarm is fitted with a mains power on™ green LED indicator and an alarm™ red LED indicator.
